WHAT MAKES YOU YOU
What makes us us? This question is often asked in disguise, either by us or by others. Whenever it's asked the answers comes in a unique form, sometimes it's serves as rhetorical.
The answer is neither unique nor rhetorical. The answer to the question is one which is, 'HOW MUCH YOU LOVE YOURSELF'
You're you because you love and respect yourself. You're you because you don't care about what the side world say about you. You're you because you don't try to compete with anyone. You are you because you know what you can do. All these falls under one answer LOVING YOURSELF
My brother once said, "Before you begin a journey to success, write down a list of what you'll need. The good, the bad. Don't forget to write loving and finding yourself first."
People often wonder why they are not progressing. Even if you're determined, you'll never progress when you don't love yourself. You'll listen to every bad thing said about you. You'll cry whenever you're body shamed. You'll go into depression. You'll want to hurt yourself. You'll completely hate yourself.
Peter Shaw said, "don't cry over what the world told you but cry for you have no self love"
He also said, "when a man gives in to criticism he is no man for he lost himself when his self love vanished "
You hate yourself? There's still time to pick up the broken pieces of love for yourself, with time they'll mend and no one will be able to stop you.
